Local residents fish in a reservoir near the Phuphan mountain range in Kalasin, where a warning is in effect about runoff as reservoirs in the area are full. In the northeastern province of Yasothon, floods have hit four tambons in Pa Tiu district, damaging 5,500 rai of farmland. In eastern Trat province, flash floods have ravaged Khao Saming district, affecting 30 households, said Mr Chatchai. The department is working with various agencies to provide assistance including food, drinking water and other necessities to affected households. Mountain runoff has filled the Huay Sithon, Huay Pho, Huay Sathod and Huay Sangkhiap reservoirs.
